Troy Polamalu has the the most expensive hair in the NFL. Head & Shoulders announced they are taking out a $1 million dollar insurance policy on Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu’s long hair.
Polamalu, who has done commercials for Head & Shoulders with his hair, will be insured through Watkins Syndicate at Lloyd’s of London. The Pittsburgh Steeler has not cut his hair in over seven years.
“Head & Shoulders has gone above and beyond by insuring my Samoan locks for a cool $1 million dollars,” Polamalu said. “This reinforces that my full and thick hair is unstoppable.”
This is not the first time Lloyds has written a policy upon a celebrity’s portion of the body. Maybe the first time was for Betty Grable’s famous legs or Julie Andrew’s voice. Most recent story was about Jennifer Lopez buying insurance for her famous “booty”. It has long been a normal practice for dancers, hand and foot models.
